hamcroiss

One thing that I miss a lot about Europe is the choice of snacks you can find in a bakery. And the number of bakeries ? there must be one on every block! You always find an amazing selection of sweet and savory goodies, Ham and cheese "croissants" being one of them.

What you need
Units: Servings: croissants
How it's made
  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees (F)
  2. Get the ingredients ready: chop the ham, grate the cheese, and chop the spinach. You can use fresh or frozen spinach, cook it until soft in a little water and make sure to really drain it before adding to the mix. Mix all the ingredients in a bowl, works best by hand.
  3. Open the tube of crescent dough and place the triangles on your work space. Place about 1 tbs of the mix, shaped like a small sausage at the bottom of the triangle.
  4. Roll the dough, capturing the filling the straightest you can, and finish the ends by twisting and turning inward.
  5. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake on the second rack from the top for about 15 to 17 minutes. Take out when they have nice golden brown color all over.
