What you need
Butter mix
- 9 tbsbutter room temperature
- 3/4 cupsugar
- 1 tbsbrown sugar
- 2 tbsmolasses
- 1 largeegg
- 1/2 tsppure vanilla extract
- 1/2 tbswater
dry mix
- 2 cupsall purpose flour
- 1 tspbaking powder
- 2 tspground ginger
- 1 tspcinnamon
- 1/4 tspground cloves
- 1/4 tspsalt
- 1-2 tbssugar for rolling
How it's made |
Dry mix
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
- In a large bowl sift together the flour, baking powder, salt, ginger, cinnamon, and clove.
Butter mix
- Using an electric mixer, mix the butter and sugar together until fluffy. Add the egg and keep mixing. Add the molasses, brown sugar and vanilla extract.
Recipe Notes
You can make those cookies much smaller and flatter, just make sure to adjust and reduce the cooking time!
