What you need
- 1/2 tbsolive oil
- 1smoked ham steak diced
- 2 14.5 oz packsmirepoix*
- 2 clovesgarlic finely chopped
- 2 handfulkale
- 2 canscannellini beans
- 1 cupchopped tomatoes can is fine
- 1bay leaf
- 1 32ozchicken stock
- 1 cupditalini pasta
- parmesan grated
- 1/4 cupcream optional
How it's made |
- Dice the ham. Peel the garlic and chop. Wash the Kale and remove the stems, chop. Rinse the beans.
- Warm up a dutch over over medium high heat, and add the oil. Cook the ham for a couple minutes. Add the onion, carrot, celery (mirepoix) and garlic. Cook for an extra 3-4 minute, stirring occasionally.
- Add the beans, stock, tomato, bay leaf and kale. Cook for 20 mn on medium low.
- Mix in the pasta and cook for ten minutes. You can add the cream now (optional). Let the soup rest for 5-10 minute and you can serve with some parmesan.

If you don't find it or want to use your own vegetables not a problem! Dice about 1 1/2 to 2 cups of each vegetables.
